"Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

"Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

It is Sunday morning and normally we are both preparing to go to church. Harriet just doesn't have the energy to get ready to go to the house the Lord.

When she first started taking this pain medication Dilaudid, she was getting complete relief from the pain for at least a short period of time. Now, taking almost the maximum dosage, she's not getting the pain relief. When she wakes up this morning I'm going to have her increase the dosage to four tablets which equals 8 mg and that is the maximum that you can take safely. The most difficult thing is to see her in pain and not be able to help.

We will go to the doctor again tomorrow and try and find a substitute pain medication that she can take that is strong enough to make her pain-free.

In the first blog I posted a few days ago, I quoted Romans 8:28 that says, "All things work together for them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose". I can see in the lives of those around us, Harriet and myself how God is using this sickness to affect a positive change. Unfortunately it is Harriet that is going through the pain, not myself. But, I know there's a reason for that.

Psalms 119:2Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
